Svend S. Schultz
conductor
1913
1998

One of the best loved choral composers in Denmark, Svend S. Schultz has a fine feeling for voices, and for almost forty years was the director of the Danish Radio Choir. In his own music the Danish lyrical tradition of nature and melody lives on, and many of his choral songs are already classics. In instrumental works and chamber music he is closer to the French divertant style of the inter-war period. Svend S. Schultz has also composed operas, orchestral works and film music.
