Marie Kobayashi

mezzo-soprano
Born in Japan, Marie Kobayashi (mezzosoprano) studied music at the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo, where she obtained a Master’s degree. She moved to Paris and through the CNSM of Paris attended classes with Régine Crespin, Michel Roux and William Christie. She graduated in song and in the interpretation of early vocal music. In 1993 she was made a Doctor of Arts at the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo. She has been awarded numerous international prizes. Since 2004 she is a professor at the Conservatory
of Strasbourg.
