Guillaume Hodeau (bandoneón) won first prize at the Conservatoire in Marseilles at the age if 15. From 1997 until 2000 he studied at the University of Michigan where had the opportunity to participate in various festivals. Back in France he began playing with Juan-José Mosalini and could be heard in Paris with the Colonne Orchestra in connection with the performance of film music at the Folies Bergères. He has performed in Rennes, where he played Astor Piazzolla’s Double Concerto for Guitar and Bandoneón. Since 2000 he has been a member of the Caliente Quartet, a Paris ensemble that has specialized in tango, especially the music of Piazzolla. The group won First Prize in the Astor Piazzolla Competition in Milan in 2004. Guillaume Hodeau has done a lot of theatre work and teaches at the music school in Evreux. He has performed in concerts and festivals all over France, in the USA and Canada and large parts of Europe.
