Veli Kujala is a Finnish composer known for his diverse range of works, spanning from electro-acoustic to orchestral music. He holds a Doctor of Music degree from the Sibelius Academy. His album Hyperorganism was nominated for Best Finnish Classical Album of the Year in 2016. In 2020, he received the Contemporary Composer of the Year Award from the Finnish Music Publishers Association. He has received commissions from various ensembles, including the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Lahti Symphony Orchestra, and the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra. Kujala’s music has been performed in prestigious venues such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin, and Auditorio Nacional de Música Madrid.
