Tan Tuan Hao

Tan Tuan Hao is a multifaceted artist who specialises in composition and performance. His compositional work has seen him collaborate with a diverse array of ensembles, including the Esbjerg Ensemble from Denmark, Norway’s Bergen Girls’ Choir, Germany’s Ensemble Mosaic, France’s Ensemble TM+, and Singapore’s Ding Yi Music. Tuan Hao’s creative scope extends beyond concert music into the realms of theatre and cinema, having worked on projects with Singapore’s LASALLE College of the Arts and the National Film School of Denmark. At the core of Tuan Hao’s artistic practice is an exploration of the synergy between musical and dramatic expression. He is particularly invested in pioneering novel approaches to convey musical and dramatic meaning, crafting performance gestures that seamlessly blend musical, sonic, verbal, and visual components.
