Simone Nold

Simone Nold began her studies in Munich with Professor Reri Grist and went on studying at Bloomington University, Indiana, from 1994. In 1993 she was admitted to Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's class at the Hochschule für Kunste, Berlin. Simone Nold has worked with conductors like Peter Schreier, Pierre Boulez, Philippe Herreweghe, Kent Nagano, Daniel Barenboim and Wolfgang Sawallisch. As a member of Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin (1996-2001). Simone Nold has sung Papagena and Pamina in The Magic Flute, Lizetta in Cimarosa's Il matrimonio segreto, Rose in Elliott Carter's What Next? , Christopher Columbus' wife in Milhaud's opera Christopher Columbus directed by Peter Greenaway, and Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail. On cd she has participated in Denisovs completion of Schuberts Lazarus, conducted by Helmuth Rilling.
