Pia Brinch Jensen

Pia Brinch Jensen graduated with excellence in performance from the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen. In 1997 she was one of the five finalists in the “Moeck Solo Recorder Playing Competition” held in London. In 1999 Pia Brinch Jensen co-founded the recorder trio Wood'N'Flutes with Vicki Boeckman and Gertie Johnsson. With countless performances all over Denmark and in Germany, plus Radio and TV productions and two CDs, the group has established itself as one of the mainstream Danish Ensembles. Pia Brinch Jensen is also member of the highly acclaimed recorder quartet Sirena, with whom she has toured all over Scandinavia. She is currently on the faculty of the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen. She is also on the faculty of Køge School of Music where she teaches in a special program preparing students to the music academy.
