Lena Kildahl is Principal Flute of Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. She made her debut in 1996 from the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen under Toke Lund Christiansen and Henrik Svitzer, having studied also with Solo Flutist of the Berlin Philharmonic Andreas Blau and not least with Manuela Wiesler in Vienna. Lena has on several occasions been a soloist with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra in works by Bach, Mozart, Nielsen and most recently in Gabriella Lena Frank’s tone poem Illapa. She is also a dedicated chamber musician with a repertoire spanning from baroque to contemporary music, and in 2013 she released a CD featuring music for solo flute by Marais, C.P.E. Bach and André Jolivet. Since 1998 Lena has taught at the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus.
