Jesper Lützhøft

Guitarist Jesper Lützhøft graduated from the Soloist Class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1987. Up until that time, he had already made his mark as one of his generation's most active guitarists. Among other things, he founded the new music ensemble IRIS in 1984 and, in the years after, ensembles like Kvartet '85 and Duo á Due. Jesper Lützhøft's particular interest in contemporary and new music has resulted in world premieres and first perfomances of around 70 works for guitar solo and with other instruments.

Jesper Lützhøft has recorded two cds in his own name and is featured on several other recordings. Besides his activities as a musician, Jesper Lützhøft has been the manager for Den Anden Opera (The Other Opera), Odense Symphony Orchestra and was a producer in the Danish Broadcasting Association.
