Frederik Rung. Son of the composer Henrik Rung, pupil of N. W. Gade. From 1877 conductor of the Cecilia Society that was founded 1951 by his father. 1872 attached to The Royal Theatre, from 1884 as conductor. 1881-1893 piano teacher of the Conservatorium. Editor (with Thomas Laub) of Vocal Music from the 17th and 18th Century. - Works: operas, ballets, stage-music, orchestral and chamber music, piano pieces, choral works, and songs.
