Elisabeth Westenholz

Elisabeth Westenholz trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with E. Vagning and Skjold Rasmussen, and later studied with Seidhofer and Brendl in Vienna. She made her debut in 1968 and has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician all over Europe. Elisabeth Westenholz has made many recordings of contemporary and older music. She frequently appears with Danish and international symphony orchestras and has been awarded several major prizes including the Carl Nielsen Prize and the Danish Music Reviewers Prize.
