Clara Cecilie Thomsen

Soprano Clara Cecilie Thomsen graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen and from the Royal Opera Academy. She debuted at the Royal Danish Opera in 2017 as Barbarina inLe Nozze di Figaro and has also sung The Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. In 2019 she performed in Kasper Holten’s setting of Amadeus at the Royal Danish Opera and in Christian Lollike’s experimental Don Juan. In 2020 she debuted at the Danish National Opera in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Clara Cecilie Thomsen has performed with orchestras such as the Royal Danish Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and Copenhagen Phil, and she has performed in most parts of Europe among others with Musikverein and the Tonkünstler Orchestra. She has been awarded the Young Opera Artist of the Year, the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize and the Association of Danish Music Critics’ Talent Prize.
