Casper Schreiber made ??his debut as a conductor in 2006 with the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra and was the first Danish orchestral conductor for 12 years with an official debut concert from the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

Casper Schreiber trained at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen and the St. Petersburg Conservatory with Leonid Korchmar, Frans Rasmussen and Tamas Veto. In addition, Casper Schreiber has participated in master classes with Kurt Masur, Yuri Temirkanov, Peter Eötvös, Christian Eggen, Jorge Rotter and Helmuth Rilling.

Since his professional debut Casper Schreiber has worked with orchestras and ensembles in both Scandinavia and Russia, including Odense Symphony Orchestra, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Sinfonietta and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society "Congress" Orchestra.

In the year 2005-10 Casper Schreiber worked as the assistant conductor at the Royal Danish Opera in the following productions: Elektra (Strauss), Process Kafka (Poul Ruders), The Tempest (Thomas Adés), Hoffmann's Tales (Offenbach), The Merry Widow (Franz Lehar), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Benjamin Britten), The Turn of the Screw (Britten) and Carmen (Bizet).

In 2009, Casper Schreiber directed the Royal Opera Academy's production of Carmen. He has also directed opera productions at PLEX (Anorexia Sacra by Line Tjørnhøj), Aarhus Chamber Opera (The Knife by Vagn Holmboe) and the Funen Opera (The Stocking Peddler by Svend S. Schultz).

Within contemporary music Casper Schreiber has directed several first performances by leading Scandinavian composers as Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, Hans Abrahamsen, Steingrimur Rohloff and Peter Bruun.

Casper Schreiber has recorded several CDs, among others Seadrift (for Dacapo) with music by Per Nørgård; an album which received P2 Prize 2009 nomination.

Casper Schreiber has performed with several leading new music ensembles such as the Seattle Chamber Players, Athelas Sinfonietta, Oslo Sinfonietta, Esbjerg Ensemble, Danish Chamber Players and Figura Ensemble.
