Anne Margrethe Dahl

Anne Margrethe Dahl was trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. After taking her diploma she continued her studies in New York. She made her debut as Donna Anna at the Aarhus Summer Opera and later guested at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen in the same role. Since 1996 Anne Margrethe Dahl has been with the Danish National Opera in Aarhus and has sung many major roles including Marguerite (Faust), Gilda (Rigoletto), Helmwige (The Valkyrie), Vitellia (La Clemenza di Tito), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Mimi (La Bohème) and the Countess (The Marriage of Figaro). Her concert activities have taken her to Norway, Sweden, Scotland, Poland, Switzerland, France, Germany and Singapore. She has performed on several CD recordings, including songs by Rued Langgaard with the pianist Ulrich Stærk (dacapo 8.224011) and Niels W. Gade’s Spring Fantasia with the Tivoli Symphony Orchestra (dacapo 8.224051). In 1995 she was awarded the grant Edith Aller’s Mindelegat.
