Nana Bugge Rasmussen

Notable Danish mezzo-soprano Nana Bugge Rasmussen excels in Lied, opera, and church music. Rasmussen's achievements include claiming the 3rd prize at Concorso Internazionale Musica Sacra in Rome (2013) and securing the 2nd prize at Concours International de Chant Baroque in Froville, France (2014). As a soloist, she has collaborated with prestigious orchestras such as Kammerorchester Basel, Accademia Bizantina, Camerata Øresund, and Le Capriccio Francais. Rasmussen has showcased her vocal prowess by performing alto parts in J.S. Bach's Cantatas under the baton of Andreas Scholl. Her acclaimed rendition of the lead role as Maria in Signe Lykke’s opera Nordkraft at the Copenhagen Opera Festival/the Royal Danish Opera in 2021 marked a significant milestone. Furthermore, she has performed with ensembles such as Figura Ensemble, Teater S/H, Apartment House, Vadstena Akademin, and Das Lausitzer Barockensemble/Ars Augusta. Rasmussen has been generously honored and supported by Statens Kunstfond (2015–2018), the Hvass Foundation (2018), and Hanne Lomholt’s Foundation (2023).
