Mads Bendsen

Mads Bendsen has played percussion since he was eleven years old, and in 1990 he was admitted to the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Aarhus. He took his diploma in 1997 with top grades and subsequently joined the soloist class with Einar Nielsen as his teacher. In 1991 and 1993 he was a member of the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra. Mads Bendsen has worked as a soloist and chamber musician in many contemporary music contexts, and is a member and co-founder of Ensemble 2000. Frans Hansen (percussion) trained as a percussion teacher and soloist at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Aarhus. For many years he has been active in the contemporary music milieu in Denmark, among other ways as a member of the Elsinore Players, Dansk Klaverteater, Touché, Tukutukahh ..., Aarhus Sinfonietta, the Janus Ensemble and ATHELAS Sinfonietta Copenhagen.
