Elsebeth Lund (soprano) trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and The Opera Academy. She has been assigned to the Royal Danish Opera since 1982, where she has among other performed as Susanna and Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Papagena in The Magic Flute, Leonora and Pernille in Carl Nielsen’s Maskarade, Axinja in Lady Macbeth from Mzensk, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Despina in Così fan tutte, Rosina in Rossini´s Il barbiere di Siviglia, Jenny Smith in Mahagonny, Marzelline in Fidelio, Leonora in Bent Lorentzen´s Den Stundesløse, Liù in Turandot, Aase in King and Marshal, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, 2. Niece in Peter Grimes, Puk in Princess Dajli, Zdenka in Arabella, Pamina in The Magic Flute and Eurydike in Orfeo and Eurydice. She has also appeared in numerous radio and TV productions, among other The Sleeping Draught, Maskarade and King and Marshal. She is a sought-after soloist for concerts, oratorios and church recitals and her engagements span operettas, musicals and films. She has received several awards, such as Elisabeth Dons Mindelegat and Otto Steenbergs Legat.
