Dorte Elsebet Larsen

Dorthe Elsebet Larsen graduated from the Opera Academy in Copenhagen and also studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Ernst Haefliger. She made her concert debtut from the soloist class of the Royal Academy of Music in the autumn of 1996, and while she was still studying she already had several soloist engagements. At the Royal Danish Opera in the 1995/96 season she could be heard as Frasquita in Carmen and as the Flower Maiden in Parsifal. Dorthe Elsebet Larsen has sung several roles in musicals and operettas, most recently for example Valencine in The Merry Widow at Det Ny Teater.
