Look forward to Heise's complete songs
In January 2021 the complete recording of Peter Heise's songs, sung by 18 leading, Nordic singers, accompanied by pianist Christian Westergaard will be released. Get a little taste of the recordings with Elsa Dreisig and Bo Skovhus.
The Danish composer Peter Heise (1830-79) was a master of writing for singing voices, and now you can look forward to the first complete recording of Heise's more than 200 songs, including over 100 world premiere recordings, supplemented by a number of unreleased manuscripts from the Heise collection at the Danish Royal Library and over 30 songs in re-edited versions in German, English and French. A total of 267 songs divided into 11 themes, presenting Peter Heise as a composer of songs of the highest international class.
The release features recordings with a total of 18 leading Nordic singers in a cross-section of generations, accompanied by Danish pianist Christian Westergaard.
The singers (in alphabetical order) are: Signe Asmussen Manuitt, Jakob Bloch Jespersen, David Danholt, Elsa Dreisig, Simon Duus Svendsen, Bo Kristian Jensen, Sofie Elkjær Jensen, Mari Eriksmoen, Stig Fogh Andersen, Johanne Højlund, Lars Møller, Aleksander Nohr, Astrid Norstad, Adam Riis, Bo Skovhus, Jens Søndergaard, Clara Thomsen and Francine Vis.
