Guitarist Jonas Egholm receives the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize
Jonas Egholm has recorded the latest album in the Educate·S series with newly written composition music for children and young people.
Each year the Léonie Sonning Music Fund awards talent prizes to young composers, conductors, musicians or singers from Denmark and the other Nordic countries. This year, guitarist Jonas Egholm (b. 1997) is awarded one of the talent prizes.
In spite of his young age, Jonas Egholm has played concerts in Denmark and abroad, won several competitions and played with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester and DiamantEnsemblet etc.
Jonas Egholm has recorded the latest album in the Educate·S series Pieces for Guitar, with newly written composition music for children and young people suited for teaching purposes. The album was released by Dacapo on 1 April and was made to accompaniment the Educate·S sheet music series, published by the Danish music publisher Edition·S. In the Educate·S series, there are pieces for guitar as well as pieces for piano, cello, violin, accordion, and percussion respectively.
