Martin Qvist Hansen

Danish pianist Martin Qvist Hansen studied with Amalie Malling at The Royal Danish Academy of Music and also been studying at The Royal College of Music in London with Peter Katin. He has received countless grants and scholarships, most noticeable “Gade Legatet”. He is quintuple winner of the Steinway Competition, he has received Gold Medal in the Danish newspaper “Berlingske Tidende”`s music competition and is winner of 1st international Piano Competition, Bratislava, where he also won a price for best performed modern piece. Martin has given concerts in the Danish Radios Concert Call, Tivoli’s Concert Hall at Charlottenborg Festival and many other places. Finally he has attended Master Classes with, amongst others, Andras Schiff (TV broadcast), Ferenc Rados and The Amadeus Quartet. In May 2000 he graduated from The Royal Academy of Music with the highest possible mark. In June 2000 he was accepted at the soloist class at RDAM.
