Laurent Cuniot

Laurent Cuniot is one of the few French musicians to lead a dual career in composing and conducting. He taught and was also in charge of the "Composition with New Technologies" class at the Conservatoire de Paris for more than two decades, and in 1985 he became artistic and musical director of TM+. Ever since he has been progressively developing the ensemble's artistic vision, positioning TM+ at the forefront of today's music. Laurent Cuniot has also conducted orchestras such as the Lille National Orchestra and the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra as well as various renowned new music ensembles like Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain and Ensemble Recherche. As a composer Laurent Cuniot has been awarded several times, e.g. with the prestigious SACEM Prize in 2007.
