Carl Nielsen Quartet

ensemble
The Carl Nielsen Quartet was established in 1963 and from the beginning has been a leading ensemble in Danish musical life. The Quartet has performed all over Denmark and at many events abroad, and its fine interpretations of contemporary music have prompted a number of Scandinavian composers to write works for the ensemble. The Carl Nielsen Quartet’s repertoire ranges from a wide selection of modern chamber music to classical chamber music. The members of the Quartet are Peder Elbæk (1st violin), Jørgen Larsen (2nd violin), Bjarne Boie Rasmussen (viola) and Svend Windsøv (cello).
