Bartholomaeus Stockmann

Musica Nuptialis

Capella Hafniensis
Ole Kongsted, conductor
Allan Rasmussen, organ

Bartholomæus Stockmann, composer

About:
Musica Nuptialis is a collection of beautiful 16th century wedding motets from the court of King Frederik II - the oldest collection of motets known with certainty to have been composed in Denmark. Dacapo Records and the Royal Danish Library are delighted to present this world premiere recording in celebration of last year's Royal Wedding of Crown Prince Frederik and Mary Elizabeth Donaldson from Tasmania, Australia.

As a special treat, the Musica Nuptialis collection is flanked here by five of Bartholomæus Stockmann's inventive little organ works based on a number of the most popular vocal pieces from the 16th century, played on the historical Danish Compenius organ by Allan Rasmussen.

(10/10 KlassikHeute - )

Indspilningerne er klokkerene, smidige og luftige, og de charmerende fortolkninger bæres af dyb indsigt i hvert stykkes anatomi og gestik.
