Holmboe stock riding high

How much would you pay if you just had to own a CD that turned out be sold out from the record label? Two of the CDs in Dacapo Records' acclaimed series of string quartets by Vagn Holmboe have been sold out for a period. As a result, second-hand copies have been circulating on the Internet, and prices have gradually gone sky-high. Two of the releases, vol. 1 og vol. 6, are now going for $100 and $150 at Amazon.com - for used copies, that is.... There's even a new copy of vol. 1 on offer for the tidy sum of $195.

But now all that will be over. Dacapo Records has re-pressed one of the titles, vol. 6, while the second, vol. 1, is on its way. And of course both titles can be downloaded in top sound quality from Dacapo's new Music Store.
