Trio Ondine

Trio Ondine was formed in Copenhagen 1999. After playing a few months together the trio won its first competition, the Boadwood Piano trio competition in Manchester. This success was followed by victories in competitions such as The Parkhouse Award in London, The Joseph Haydn Competition in Vienna, The Chamber Music Competition of the Danish Radio and the ARD competition in Munich, where the trio also received the audience prize. The Melbourne International Chambermusic Competition rewarded Trio Ondine with the 2.nd prize as well as the audience prize.

Concerts brought Trio Ondine to several European countries and gave the trio possibility to make radio recordings in Austria, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Slovenia, Estonia and England.
The trio has performed several times as soloists in Beethoven’s triple concerto. The performance together with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra was transmitted as an EBU production to most of Europe, USA, Australia and Hong Kong.

In 2002, Trio Ondine was chosen as Artists in Residence of the Danish Radio and visited the MIDEM festival in Cannes where they performed Vagn Holmboe’s triple concerto together with the Danish Radio Sinfonietta.

In 2005-2006 Trio Ondine have been awarded the prestiguous title of BBC New Generation Artists.
