In 1994 Susanne Elmark got her diploma from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where she was trained by Susanna Eken and Keld Thaarup as well as the professors Ingrid Bjoner and Josef Protschka. Early in her career Susanne Elmark has been in great demand at opera houses abroad in roles such as Zerbinetta in Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, Gilda in Rigoletto, Adina in L'elisir d'amore and the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. In addition Susanne Elmark often appears as a concert soloist, both in the great oratorios and masses and in works such as Alban Berg's Lulu Suite
