Baritone Morten Frank Larsen works both as an opera and a concert singer in a varied repertoire from Bach and Mozart through Wagner and Strauss to Szymanowski and Britten.

Morten Frank Larsen studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus as a pupil of Helge Frees Christiansen. He took master classes with Josef Greindl and Gino Bechi, and has also studied with Bjørn Asker in Stockholm and Tom Krause in Hamburg.

In 1991 Morten Frank Larsen was admitted to the Opera Academy in Copenhagen and His operatic debut was in Britten's The Rape of Lucretia at the Aarhus Summer Opera in 1994.

From 1997 he was at Staatstheater Braunschweig for three years. Since 2000 he has been working mainly in Vienna at both Volksoper and Staatsoper with frequent appearance; since 2005 he has been with Deutsche Oper in Berlin. In 2011 he had his debut at the Metropolitan in New York in Strauss' Capriccio with Renée Fleming.

In 1999 Morten Frank Larsen recieved the Francesco Cristofoli Award. In 2002 he was awarded the most prestigious Danish award for singers, the Aksel Schiøtz Award, and in 2003 he received the Eberhard-Wächter-Medaille of the Vienna Staatsoper.
