Mogens Dahl

Mogens Dahl was born in 1953 and took his degree in musicology at Aarhus University, then trained in conducting at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Aarhus. He continued his conducting studies in Denmark, Sweden and Finland with among others Eric Ericson, Michael Schønwandt and Jorma Panula. Mogens Dahl has conducted the Danish regional orchestras, the radio chamber choirs in Copenhagen and Stockholm and now works regularly with the Danish National Opera in Århus as chorus master. He has been a guest professor at the University of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and is now an associate professor at Aalborg University. Mogens Dahl has conducted many dramatic productions at opera houses including the Danish National Opera in Århus, The Other Opera, the Funen Opera, Århus Theatre and Staatstheater Kassel Operahaus; in Stockholm he has conducted a performance of Nils Lindberg’s opera Runkärlek. At the Danish National Opera he has conducted Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Johan Werle’s new opera Pandora’s Box.
