Marilyn Crispell is probably best known for her ten years as a member of the Anthony Braxton Quartet, as well as with the Reggie Workman Ensemble, and various solo and ensemble projects with many of the great players in the American and European modern jazz scene. She has recorded extensively, both as a leader and in collaboration with others. In addition to playing, Marilyn Crispell has taught improvisation workshops and done lecture/demonstrations at universities and art centers in the U.S., Europe and Canada.
