Kristina Hammarström  

Kristina Hammarström is trained at Operahögskolan in Stockholm and is today an internationally recognized mezzi soprano. Among her many roles should be mentioned the title roles in La cenerentola and Carmen, Niklaus in Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel and Lucretia in The Rape of Lucretia. Moreover Kristina Hammarström has performed in Kungliga Operan's production of The Bacchae, directed by Ingmar Bergman, and has appeared on opera stages in Stockholm, Gothenburg and at the Drottningholm Theatre, the festival in Spoleto, Wiener Kammeroper, the Bastille Opera in Paris and Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf.
