Katrine Ring is a DJ, producer and composer. Her musical career began in 1980 as a member of the New Wave band The Pin-Ups with a debut album in 1982. Since 1992 she has been a DJ with her point of departure in black American music like jazz, Latin and House and has released various compilations. She has worked with classical music since 2006 as a member of the Danish fraction of the German DJ and clubbing concept Yellow Lounge. This makes her one of the few DJs in the world who has specialized in classical music. Since 2010 she has also been artistic director of Yellow Lounge in Danmark and has introduced the mini-concert where she improvises with classical musicians. As a composer she works with real-world sounds, computer and effects for both concerts and audio productions.
