Jolson Oshiro (b. 1970), clarinet, was trained in the USA at the Arizona State University with Dr. Robert Spring, and later continued his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with Bent Neuchs Sørensen, Lee Morgan, and Jørgen “Misser” Jensen. He has participated in master- lasses with Karl Leister, Wenzel Fuchs and Wolfgang Meyer. Jolson Oshiro won the first prize in Arizona Young Performers Competition and was a finalist in the Butterfield Young Musicians Competition and the San Angelo Competition.
