Hans-Kristian Kjos Sørensen (percussion). Multi-instrumentalist in music styles like jazz, rock, Afro-Cuban music, Brazilian music, classical and contemporary music. Winner of national and international competitions including the CIEM Competition in Geneva. Took his conservatory diploma in Versailles with distinction. For many years first percussionist in the Bergen Philharmonic and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, then a career as solo and chamber musician with concert performances in Scandinavia, Russia, the UK, France and Germany. Artistic co-director with Gro Løvdahl at Club ‘Blå’ in Oslo in the concert series “Ultron”. Has also composed among other things stage music (Ny Teater in Oslo, Riksteateret) and ballet music (for Karen Foss). In guest appearances in Sweden and Ireland he has conducted the string ensemble of the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.
