Gert Sørensen

Gert Sørensen has worked as a soloist since 1975, since 1990 with Palle Mikkelborg, and since 1995 has toured with Palle Mikkelborg Trio. Central to Gert Sørensen’s musical universe is the exploration of percussion in interplay with the new sound technology of computers and sampling - both MIDI keyboards and Indian clay drums are part of the same project: to transform the complex scores of contemporary music into music of clarity, created with a modern, personal sound.
