Eva Østergaard was born in 1966. She was trained at the Royal Music Conservatory, Aarhus, where she made her debut in 1994. She has also studied with Professor András Adorján at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. Eva Østergaard has toured all over Europe as a soloist and chamber musician and has appeared with most of the Danish orchestras. She is presently solo flautist in the Royal Danish Orchestra. Eva Østergaard won prizes at the international Kuhlau Competition in Germany in 1992 and at the Chamber Music Competitions held by the Danish Radio in 1992 and 1996.
