The German Tenor Christian Elsner has studied with Martin Gründler, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Neil Semer. After winning prizes in several singing competitions he has appeared on opera stages in Heidelberg, Darmstadt, Oslo and Paris. As a concert singer he worked with conductors like Herbert Blomstedt, Christoph Eschenbach, Carlo Maria Giulini, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Marek Janowski, Fabio Luisi, Sir Neville Marriner and Sir Roger Norrington. Christian has given recitals with pianists like Hartmut Höll, Charles Spencer, Eugen Wangler or Burkhard Kehring and his CD recordings include Mahler's Lieder eines Fahrenden Gesellen, Schuberts Winterreise and Schumanns Dichterliebe.
