Anna Dina Schick, one of Europe’s leading flautists of her generation, completed her studies in New York with Jeanne Baxtresser after taking her diploma with distinction from the Musichochschule in Stuttgart and Munich, where she studied with Paul Meissen and Jean-Claude Gérard. After achieving great success in both national and international competitions, including several first prizes in the German National Youth Competition and fifth prize in the International Music Competition Pacem In Terris Bayreuth, Anna is now very active as both a soloist and chamber musician. She has performed as a soloist with among others the Estonian Chamber Orchestra and the Bohemian Chamber Orchestra. Anna Dina Schick is in great demand as a teacher; with the pianist Cordula Hacke she has given several highly acclaimed concerts at the Darmstädter Tage für Neue Music, the Holland Music Sessions and the Arkandor Music Festival in Canada. Anna is an experienced orchestral musician. She has worked for example in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich under the baton of Lorin Maazel and Ricardo Muti and in the Orchestra of the Bavarian State Opera. In 1998 Anna Dina Schick was engaged as first solo flautist of the Royal Danish Orchestra.
