Andrea Pellegrini graduated from the Opera Academy at the Royal Danish Theatre in 2006. The danish-born mezzo-soprano Andrea Pellegrini has great experience as a concert singer in Scandinavia. In addition to many Lied recitals she has sung masses and oratorios by composers such as Pergolesi, J.S. Bach, Händel, Haydn, Dvorak, Mendelssohn and Rossini with the Danish Regional Symphony Orchestras. At the Royal Danish Theatre she has sung Lady in Waiting in Macbeth, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Annio in La clemenza di Tito and Alisa in Lucia di Lammer moor. In 2006 she made her debut at the Danish National Opera in Århus in the role of Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro. Besides studies at the Opera Academy, Andrea Pellegrini has attended masterclasses with among others Thomas Hemsley, Roger Vignoles, Helmut Deutsch, Anthony Rolfe Johnson and David Radok, and she has received various prizes and grants including the Roager Foundation Talent Prize and the grant of the Wagner Society. She has also twice won competitions for young singers in Denmark.
