music for soprano has
been issued almost in
parallel, featuring three
substantial works from
the 1970s. Bente Vist
is the radiant soprano
accompanied by varied
sextets (featuring lute,
Baroque guitar, recorders,
crumhorn and crotales)
in
Nova Genitura and
the diptych
Seadrift,
and harpist Tine Rehling
for the beautiful
Fons
Laetitiae. Their temporal
proximity with the
Third Symphony and
its euphonious musical
landscapes is reflected
strongly in
Nova Genitura
and
Fons Laetitiae, with
Seadrift – placed centrally
– providing fascinating
contrasts. Dacapo’s sound
is first-rate.
