These are first recordings of a selection of works for cello and piano from the Late Romantic Period in Denmark. In addition to some brief character pieces this CD present a Cello Sonata by Louis Glass that until recently was believed to have been lost. Another interesting work is the exuberant folksong suite La Scandinavie by Australian-born composer Percy Grainger.
