Sirius Viols

Hille Perl gathered the viola da gamba ensemble Sirius Viols with the intention to have a group featuring her most beloved instrument, the viola da gamba, with her most favorite players, a group that is based on solidarity and on having pride in each other, rather than on hierarchy and dominance. Artistic freedom of each individual in the end gives the most satisfying artistic result. Sometimes the Sirius Viols play together with violins, a continuo group and singers, or with whoever else they feel fit to meet their high standards. The name of course is chosen to remind us of the brightest star of the northern sky.
