Inger Dam-Jensen (soprano) began her training at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen but was later admitted to the Opera Academy in Copenhagen. She has also attended master classes with Judith Beckmann, Elisabeth Söderström, Oren Brown, Roger Vignoles, Paul Schilhawsky and Ingrid Bjoner. Inger Dam-Jensen became really well known outside Denmark in 1993 when she won First Prize in the Cardiff Singer of the World competition. She has been particularly noted as a lyric coloratura soprano and performs regularly at the Royal Theatre as well as the big European opera houses.
