The Danish National Vocal Ensemble saw the light of day in January 2007. The 18 singers are all soloists in various concert contexts, and when they meet in the Ensemble they pool their talents to deliver the best in choral music with harmony, energy, rhythmic suppleness and charismatic solos. That is why the Danish National Vocal Ensemble is also flexible in size: the number of members is adapted to the repertoire that is on the programme. The regular conductor of the Ensemble is Swedish Fredrik Malmberg, while English Stephen Layton is associated with the Ensemble as Principal Guest Conductor.
