Bodil Udsen (recitation) is one of the great personalities of Danish theatre and film in the 20th century. She was born in 1925 and since the end of the 1940s has appeared in a long succession of films, revues and classic theatre productions. Among the many honours she has received are the Frederik Schyberg Memorial Grant, the Wilhelm Hansen Travel Grant, the Holger Gabrielsen Memorial Grant, the Hans Christian Andersen Prize, the Henkel Prize, the Tagea Brandt Travel Grant and the Reumert Prize. Bodil Udsen is a Dame of the Order of the Dannebrog.
