Bo Skovhus is among the best opera singers in the world. He studied at the Music College of Aarhus, at the Royal Academy for Opera of Copenhagen and in New York. Skovhus has been winning acclaim on the international opera scene ever since his sensational debut in the title role of Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Vienna Volksoper in 1988. In 1997 he was appointed chamber singer at the Vienna State Opera and is today a much sought-after guest soloist with the world’s leading opera houses. Skovhus´ brilliant word processing and understanding has made him one of the premier lieder-singers of his generation and his CD recordings reflect both the intimate lied-art as well as his many big opera roles.
